Day 1: Iquitos City Highlights, Wildlife Conservation & Immersive Tribal Culture

Visit the Amazon Rescue Center (CREA) to meet orphaned manatees.

Day 2: Amazon Sunrise, Wildlife Trekking & Traditional Canoe Exploration

Jungle hike to learn about medicinal plants and learn about survival techniques. -
Afternoon: Visit Bombonaje village to learn about the local population.
Relax swimming in the calm waters of the Yanayacu river. Paddle a canoe while observing nature. -
Night: Jungle hike to see tarantulas, snakes and frogs.
- Morning: Majestic Sunrise, Birdwatching & Ethnobotanical Hike Sunrise at Quebrada Timicurillo: Rise early to witness a breathtaking Amazonian sunrise over the tranquil waters of the Timicurillo creek. As the rainforest awakens, enjoy a prime birdwatching excursion to spot vibrant toucans, herons, hoatzins (prehistoric-looking birds), and birds of prey. Medicinal Plants & Survival techniques: After a hearty breakfast, lace up your boots for an immersive jungle trek. Your expert guide will introduce you to the secrets of ethnobotany, pointing out natural remedies, ayahuasca vines, and ancestral medicinal plants. We will see different species of trees that are used to build the houses and some that are endangered, including the rubber tree. Afternoon: Cultural Immersion & River Adventures Cultural Visit to Bombonaje Village: Connect with the heart of the rainforest by visiting the local community of Bombonaje. Learn about the daily life, traditions, and sustainable farming practices of the riverside residents (ribereños). Refreshing River Swim & Dugout Canoe Ride: Cool off from the afternoon heat with a relaxing swim in the calm, safe waters of the Yanayacu River. Afterward, step into a traditional dugout canoe to paddle silently along the riverbanks, offering the perfect, undisturbed vantage point for spotting monkeys, sloths, and iguanas.
Day 3: Primary Rainforest Trek, Piranha Fishing & Pink Dolphin Safari

Morning: Today we will visit the majestic Ceiba tree. It is a massive tree that is around 500 years old.
Afterwards, we will head to a strategical place to fish for piranhas. The one who catches the first piranha will get a prize. -
Afternoon: After lunch and taking a nap, we are going to visit Fundo Neyser. An exotic place to see anacondas, toucans, macaws and other animals.
Before sunset, we will jump into our boats to go looking for pink dolphins. -
Night boat ride to see nocturnal birds and fire flies.
- Morning: Ancient Forest Giants & Amazon Piranha Fishing The Sacred 500-Year-Old Ceiba Tree: Fuel up with breakfast before journeying deep into the primary forest to stand before a 500-year-old Ceiba (Lupuna) tree. Marvel at the massive buttress roots and learn about the spiritual significance of this towering giant, which serves as the "Mother of the Forest" in Amazonian mythology. Traditional Piranha Fishing Challenge: Navigate to a strategic, calm blackwater creek renowned for its active river life. Drop your line using traditional wooden rods and try your hand at catching the legendary red-bellied piranha. To add to the adventure, the traveler who lands the very first catch of the day wins a special regional prize! Afternoon: Amazonian Wildlife Sanctuary & Pink Dolphin Sunset Cruise Wildlife Encounters at Fundo Neyser: After lunch and a relaxing hammock nap (siesta), we will cruise to Fundo Neyser. This dedicated eco-reserve offers close-up encounters with the region's iconic wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you spot majestic anacondas, vibrant toucans, playful monkeys, and brilliant scarlet macaws. Pink River Dolphin Safari: As the afternoon heat cools, we will board our boats and head to the open waters where the currents meet. Day 4: Primate Conservation, Cultural Connections & Return to Iquitos

On our way back, we will stop at the Yaguas tribe colony to learn how to use the blowgun. -
Arrive in Iquitos around 5pm
- Morning: Wild Sloth Spotting & Primate Rescue Island Wild Sloth Boat Safari: Start your final morning in the rainforest with a scenic boat ride along the riverbanks. Keep your binoculars ready as your guide points out wild three-toed sloths camouflaged in the Cecropia trees, along with iguanas basking in the morning sun. A visit to Monkey Island (La Isla de los Monos): Next, journey to a renowned primate rescue sanctuary located on a protected island. This incredible project rehabilitates orphaned and rescued monkeys. You'll have the unforgettable opportunity to see free-roaming species up close, including woolly monkeys, spider monkeys, saki monkeys, and tiny tamarins, while learning about vital Amazonian conservation efforts. Afternoon: Riverside Farewell & Final Cultural Exchange Farewell Amazon Lunch: Return to the lodge to pack your bags and enjoy one final, delicious Amazonian lunch overlooking the river. Yagua Indigenous Community Interaction: On our scenic boat navigation back toward the city, we will make a final stop to visit a Yagua indigenous community. Admire their ancestral lifestyle, learn about their deep connection to the rainforest, and test your aim with the traditional pucuna (blowgun)—a ancestral hunting tool. Arrival in Iquitos: We will arrive back at the Iquitos port around 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. From there, our private transport will comfortably transfer you to your city hotel or directly to the Iquitos airport for your evening flight home.
