- Your journey begins with pick-up from your hotel or the Iquitos airport by one of our experienced guides. We’ll first visit Bellavista-Nanay, a vibrant riverside market where you can explore Amazonian products like aguaje, suri, jungle fruits, regional juices, and fresh fish. Next, we’ll board our boat and navigate the Nanay and Amazon Rivers, witnessing the spectacular meeting of the two rivers — the dark waters of the Nanay blending with the milky-brown Amazon. Your guide will explain the natural differences and share the history of the mighty Amazon River. After approximately 30 minutes, we’ll arrive at Fundo Pedrito, home to the Victoria Regia, piranhas, alligators, and the giant paiche (pirarucú). Here, you’ll have the opportunity to feed these fascinating creatures. We’ll then continue to our lodge, arriving around 12:30 p.m., where you can settle into your cabin and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Fundo Neyser, where you can see monkeys, sloths, parrots, macaws, and possibly the anaconda. Before returning to the lodge, we’ll go in search of pink dolphins while enjoying a stunning sunset on the Amazon River.
