Day 1: Journey to the Yarapa River

Morning: Pickup in Iquitos and transfer to Nauta. Board a private boat to navigate the confluence where the Amazon River begins.

Afternoon: First fishing session in quiet lagoons targeting Piranhas, Pacu, and Tucunaré (Peacock Bass) using local bait and light tackle.

Night: Set up a remote riverside camp. Dinner by the fire surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

After a 1.5-hour drive to Nauta, board your private boat heading downriver through the Maranhom and Ucayali Rivers, where the Amazon begins to unfold. By midday, we reach our first fishing spot — a quiet lagoon where you’ll cast for piranhas, pacu, and tucunaré (peacock bass) using light tackle and local bait. After lunch aboard, continue fishing into the golden hours of the afternoon. As dusk approaches, set up camp on a remote riverbank, enjoy dinner by the fire, and listen to the symphony of nocturnal wildlife.
Day 2: Trophy Fishing & Giant Catfish

Morning: Travel deeper into the Yarapa River, a pristine tributary famous for large predatory fish.

Afternoon: Target "monster" fish including the Arapaima (Paiche), Redtail Catfish, and Tiger Shovelnose Catfish using trolling and bottom-fishing techniques.

Night: Camping on a sandy river beach, potentially grilling part of the day's catch under the stars.
- Highlights: Deep-river fishing, arapaima & giant catfish, jungle exploration Wake up with the sunrise and the calls of howler monkeys echoing across the river. After breakfast, we break camp and travel deeper into the Yarapa River, a pristine tributary known for its abundance of large predatory fish. Here, you’ll target arapaima (paiche), redtail catfish, and tiger shovelnose catfish, using trolling and bottom-fishing techniques. Local guides will share ancestral fishing methods and help identify prime locations based on water depth and current. After a day of intense fishing, we’ll set camp on a sandy beach, grill part of the day’s catch, and relax under a blanket of stars.
Day 3: Hidden Lagoons & Night Fishing

Morning: Explore remote oxbow lakes (cochas) and flooded forests by small paddle boats—ideal for fly fishing and baitcasting.

Afternoon: Search for Silver Arowana and Peacock Bass in secluded, mirror-like lagoons.

Night: An optional night fishing session to catch nocturnal species like the Goliath Catfish (Piraíba) or spot caimans along the banks.
- Highlights: Fly and baitcasting, peacock bass & arowana, night fishing session Today’s focus is on exploring remote oxbow lakes (cochas) and flooded forests accessible only by small paddled boats. These calm waters are ideal for fly fishing and baitcasting. Species include peacock bass, silver arowana, and pacu, known for their strength and agility. After lunch in the field, we’ll continue deeper upriver, stopping at secluded lagoons where bird calls and splashing fish break the silence. As night falls, gear up for an optional night fishing session, an exciting opportunity to catch nocturnal species such as goliath catfish (piraíba) or spot caimans along the shore. Camp overnight in a new location surrounded by untouched rainforest.
Day 4: Final Cast & Return

Morning: One last sunrise fishing session on the Yarapa River to land a final Silver Arowana or Dorado Catfish.

Afternoon: Scenic boat ride back to Nauta and land transfer to Iquitos.

Arrival: Estimated arrival in Iquitos by mid-afternoon.

You might land a silver arowana or dorado catfish to close your Amazon adventure. After breakfast, we’ll begin the journey back downstream to Nauta and transfer by road to Iquitos, arriving around mid-afternoon
