Day 1: Arrival, River Meeting & Pink Dolphins

Morning: Pickup in Iquitos and visit the Bellavista-Nanay Market to see traditional jungle products. Board a boat to witness the "Meeting of the Waters" (Nanay and Amazon Rivers).

Afternoon: Visit an ecological reserve to see the giant Paiche fish and Victoria Regia water lilies. Head to Fundo Neyser to encounter monkeys, sloths, and macaws.

- Your adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel or the Iquitos airport by one of our expert jungle guides. Our first stop will be Bellavista-Nanay Market, a vibrant place north of Iquitos where you’ll discover Amazonian products such as aguaje, suri, jungle fruits, fish, and traditional regional drinks. After a short visit, we’ll board our boat and begin navigating the Nanay and Amazon Rivers. Here, you’ll witness the incredible meeting of the two rivers — the black waters of the Nanay mixing with the light-brown waters of the Amazon. Your guide will share fascinating insights into this natural phenomenon and the history of the Amazon River. We’ll continue to Fundo Pedrito, a small ecological reserve where you can see and feed piranhas, alligators, and the giant paiche (pirarucú), the largest freshwater fish in South America. You’ll also admire the Victoria Regia, the world’s largest aquatic plant. Afterwards, we’ll reach our jungle lodge around 12:30 p.m., settle into your cabin, and enjoy a delicious Amazon-style lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Fundo Neyser, home to monkeys, sloths, parrots, macaws, and even the anaconda. Before returning to the lodge, we’ll head out to spot pink river dolphins while watching a spectacular Amazon sunset. After dinner, we’ll take a night walk through the jungle, observing frogs, tarantulas, insects, and nocturnal birds under the sounds of the rainforest. Day 2: Birdwatching, Fishing & Yagua Tribe

Morning: Early birdwatching at Quebrada Timicurillo, followed by authentic piranha fishing in the Amazon River.

Afternoon: Visit a Yagua community to learn about their ancestral traditions, dances, and blowgun hunting techniques.

Night: Relaxing evening at the lodge sharing Amazonian legends (stories of El Tunchi and the Pink Dolphin).
- We’ll start the morning early with an exciting birdwatching tour along Quebrada Timicurillo, one of the best places to spot a wide variety of Amazon birds in their natural habitat. After breakfast at the lodge, we’ll head to the Amazon River for an authentic piranha fishing experience. Besides the famous red piranhas, it’s common to catch other species like catfish, sardines, and mojarras, making this a true Amazon adventure. At midday, we’ll return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest, before setting out to visit a small Yagua family community. You’ll learn about their ancestral traditions, enjoy their dances and language, and practice their blowgun hunting techniques. It’s also a great opportunity to purchase handcrafted souvenirs made by local artisans. Before sunset, we’ll return to the lodge. After dinner, relax in the hammock lounge and enjoy an evening of Amazon jungle legends — mysterious tales of El Bufeo Colorado (the pink dolphin), La Sirena (the mermaid), and El Tunchi (the jungle spirit). Day 3: Primary Jungle Trek & Survival Skills

Daytime: A full-day excursion into the primary rainforest. Explore deep trails to spot monkeys and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Highlights: Visit a massive 500-year-old Lupuna tree and learn jungle survival skills, such as finding water in vines (lianas) and natural navigation.

Afternoon: Continued wildlife spotting while returning to the lodge for sunset.
- Start the day at a relaxed breakfast before embarking on a full-day excursion through the primary Amazon rainforest. On this trek, you’ll observe monkeys and other wildlife in their natural habitat and discover the diverse medicinal plants that thrive in this part of the Amazon. At the heart of the forest, we’ll encounter a giant 500-year-old lupuna tree, with roots spreading up to 50 meters, an impressive symbol of the Amazon’s ancient ecosystem. During the trek, you’ll also learn practical jungle survival techniques, such as sourcing water from lianas and understanding forest navigation. We’ll return to the lodge before sunset, concluding a day full of wildlife spotting, nature exploration, and hands-on jungle learning. Day 4: Community Life & Traditional Medicine

Departure: Farewell lunch and return journey to Iquitos, arriving around 5:00 PM.
- Enjoy your final sunrise in the Amazon rainforest and a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. We’ll then visit the San Rafael community, where you’ll experience their daily life, customs, and beliefs. A local guide will take you through a botanical garden, demonstrating the preparation of traditional home remedies still used today — a unique insight into Amazonian medicinal knowledge. After returning to the lodge for lunch, we’ll pack our belongings and begin the journey back to Iquitos, concluding this unforgettable Amazon jungle adventure.
